Referred by Jim Mars as “the Brit with the knack for ferreting out all the dope on outrageous subjects,” author Nick Redfern compiles here a thought-provoking and fascinating exploration of twenty-five of the strangest locations in the world where a wide-range of mysterious and inexplicable occurrences are reported. From Scotland’s Nessie to the mystical slopes of California, to the Devil’s Sea of Japan, Redfern indeed takes his readers on a tour de force of some of the world’s major hot spots of profound weirdness.

For the American reader there are sites readily accessible and amiable to ones affordable vacation plans, like Arizona’s vortex infested Sedona (a major UFO “window” with sightings going back to 1947, and powerful paranormal manifestations) to Roswell, New Mexico, which it seems may have alien ghosts (Redfern describes attending a filmed séance at Hangar 84 and how film footage of a “hideous snake-like creature coiling just above our heads” was captured). Wow, I sure didn’t see that one coming!

So if you like reading the inside skinny on all sorts of little known and “outrageous subjects” Redfern will have you spellbound from beginning to end with tantalizing tales of high-strangeness from the world over, from ancient temples, castles, mountain tops, the waters of the Bermuda Triangle and California’s Death Valley—by land or by sea the mysteries are compelling. Bigfoots, aliens, ghosts, vampires, UFOs, lake monsters, vortexes….no stone is left unturned! Besides presenting an abundance of factual information, this book is also well illustrated with pictures and artwork, and easy on the eye print.
