I would say that for the vast majority of us exposed to metaphysical terms and beliefs, the word Akashic is commonly associated with the trance readings of America’s “Sleeping Prophet” Edgar Cayce. Author and psychic Aingeal Rose O’Grady also claims to be able to tap into the legendary Akashic Records, a spiritual dimension where it is said that the entire history of the cosmos (and thus humankind’s history as well) can be located.

In this book, this author and psychic describes tapping into those cosmic records to try and bring light and understanding to some of our most challenging and complex life mysteries. For example, she explores the nature and reality of miracles, the nature of time and dimensions, angels, dreams, light bodies, kundalini and chakras, even alien abductions, and much more.

Although I’m not ready to give up on so-called hard science just yet, I do like to see what the psychics, sensitives, mystics, shamans, and prophets have to say – and sometimes they square off rather closely. Other times not, but it’s always an interesting and entertaining avenue to follow.

The concept of unfriendly intruders from a parallel world or dimension, along with the term ultra-terrestrial, was certainly popularized by New York journalist John A. Keel back in the late 1960s. The major part of this book however revolves around the late Dr. Karla Turner’s Into The Fringe, a book that described how in 1988, this former college instructor living with her family in Roland, Arkansas, suddenly found herself and her family at the center of what has become known as the “alien abduction” phenomenon. Their experiences were very disturbing, very frightening, and included bizarre sexual elements as well.

Contributions by other noted and seasoned ufological authors in this book also include Timothy Green Beckley, Sean Casteel, Tim Swartz, and Brad and Sherry Steiger.

The editors of this book bring together twelve of the most prominent authors and recognized authority figures known for their insights and knowledge into ancient historical anomalies ranging from reported findings of a race of giants, hybrid races, people with elongated skulls, stories of mysterious visitors (ancient aliens?) that provided ancient cultures with advanced knowledge of science, agriculture, and astronomy, reports of frightening apparitions/monsters at ancient sites, language commonalities between different cultures, and much more.

Fascinating and thought-provoking, the authors take us to numerous exciting and well-known global locations, like Turkey’s Gobekli Tepe, Stonehenge, the Great Pyramid of Egypt’s Giza plateau, to other exciting and yet lesser known sites like the undeciphered petroglyph covered Judaculla Rock of North Carolina, a place associated with a slant-eyed giant of ancient Cherokee mythology.
