If you enjoy visiting places that are steeped in creepy tales of alleged ghosts, hauntings, and monsters, historical oddities like The Newport Tower, believed by many to have been of Viking origin, plus actual locations made famous in the writings of H. P. Lovecraft, then a trip to Rhode Island may be in your future plans. If so, don't forget to pack Charles Harrington's guidebook as you won't want to miss any of the tantalizingly wonderful historical and spooky locations that he has so carefully researched and documented. Filled with plenty of detailed information, color photographs and maps, you will be able to embark upon as thorough and as complete a self-guided tour as you may desire, or can afford, and I have it on reliable authority that no one taking one of these tours has yet died at the hands of some supernatural fiend or force. I can personally vouch for the safety of the Tower, which I visited many years ago.

Behind the Paranormal:

Paul and Ben Eno are a father and son paranormal investigative team who together have co-hosted the CBS Radio and WOON 1240 in the Boston/Providence area since 2008, a show entitled “Behind the Paranormal,” said to have about three million listeners. The contents of this book are based upon radio scripts of their program that explore some of the most profound and significant questions one can raise regarding the paranormal realm. Besides detailing a large number of their own most incredible case studies and investigations, Paul and Ben also provide us with a great deal of grounded global, historical, and scientific evidence and speculations. From earliest recorded religious traditions and mythologies, to our latest concepts and theories of the multiverse and the quantum hologram, the authors strive to make sense and bring clarity to some of the darkest and most misunderstood pages of human history.

This book takes the reader on a fascinating, very thought-provoking exploration into some truly remarkable terrain, like what the Eno's call the “parasites,” who they see as multiversal life forms who seem to be plasma based, highly intelligent, often pretending to be loved ones who passed on, “spirit guides,” or even angels, while on the other hand they have encountered in their investigations positive, helpful forces as well that, surprisingly enough, may come through from an ancestor somewhere out in the multiverse. They even often encourage people troubled by “parasites” to seek the help of an ancestor. In one incredible case in Portland, Maine, in 1988, a family of four was being harassed by one of these beings. It's main focus was on a teenaged girl. Paul inquired of the parents about an ancestor that the girl might have been attached to, who might be able to help. He was told about one who had been a former Union naval officer during the Civil War that she felt very attached to. So Paul asked the girl to seek this ancestor's help and one night soon afterwards, the parasitic entity returned, causing items to fall off of shelves and pulling the covers off the girl's bed. Her screams brought the family into her room in time to observe what appeared to be a sword flashing through the air. In a picture of this ancestor, he is seen wearing a sword at his side. After this incident, the parasite ceased activity.

Paul Eno entered the paranormal field back in 1970, while studying for the priesthood. He graduated from two seminaries, though was expelled from the third due to his paranormal studies. He had some very impressive mentors, like parapsychologist Dr. Louisa Rhine, Father John J. Nicola, who had been a technical advisor in the production of The Exorcist, and the “Grandparents of Ghost Hunting” Ed and Lorraine Warren. Paul makes some unique and alternative interpretations of the paranormal, Biblical scriptures and the unrecognized role and influence that St. Paul, a former pagan, had in founding Christianity. He explains how in his paranormal work he's come upon many species of what he calls “guardians” and “parasites,” residents of a multiverse that he perceives as parts of what we have called “heaven,” and that our ancient ancestors understood this better than we do today.

If you're a student of ufology like myself, what could be more fascinating than reading of landed “craft” and onboard experiences complete with humanoid beings. That's up close and personal, right there. But what makes this book even more intriguing is that we're dealing with entity reports from a very early period, from 1930 to 1949. These early reports, many originating we're informed prior to the classic “Flying Saucer” era, are especially interesting. In addition, these reports originated worldwide.

This book provides us with descriptions of alleged humanoid encounters years before the reports of UFO occupants and the contactee and abduction phenomenon became common knowledge as it is today. Therefore, it potentially allows us to glimpse these anomalies from a uniquely earlier time period, perhaps offering the dedicated and serious UFO and paranormal student significant clues, patterns, and insights into these phenomena that more recent reports do not.

Author Albert Rosales has written several other volumes detailing worldwide humanoid encounters from other time periods. Each of these books provides a valuable information resource and convenient reference book of detailed accounts for the serious researcher.
