An Interview with:

UFO author, experiencer Diane Tessman

by: Brent Raynes

BIOGRAPHY: Diane Tessman has counseled abductees, experiencers, and contactees for over 33 years. She draws on her own experiences in childhood as well as ongoing ET contact throughout her life. While teaching school for 11 years, Diane was State Section Director for Florida MUFON in the late 1970's, and also a field investigator for the Aerial Phenomenon Research Organization (APRO). Over the years, thousands of people have read Diane’s two publications, The Star Network Heartline (since 1983) and The Change Times Quarterly (since 1990). These publications have contained an amazing number of accurate predictions over the years. Diane's encounters totally changed her life – and she has no regrets. She has physical evidence from those encounters which is undeniable. The certainty that “we are not alone” has motivated Diane for many years.

Diane's books:
* UFO AGENDA…So, You Want to Know the Truth? (Amazon/Kindle)
* The Transformation, which has been read by tens of thousands, is available on Kindle or Amazon paperback.
* Earth Changes Bible
* 7 Rays of the Healing Millennium,
* Coming of the God Cloud & Earth Change Revelations
In 1980, Diane underwent hypnotic regression with Dr. R. Leo Sprinkle, and remembered details of her childhood encounter with a being called Tibus. Diane has specific conscious memories, too, but did not remember a number of details consciously. One UFO encounter was aboard what appeared to be a starship (UFO). Another encounter was in a cabin on Eagle Lake, Ontario. A membrane was taken from Diane on one of those encounters. It is quite possible that this membrane was used by the ETs as a tissue sample and that Diane was cured of childhood leukemia.
Diane’s teaching experience was for five years, 1st grade, in the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas), and six years English as a Second Language and 1st grade, in St. Petersburg, Florida.
For five years in the early 1990s, Diane lived in the Irish countryside of County Kilkenny, Republic of Ireland, and studied Celt shamanism and Irish country healing techniques and herbs.
Diane also lived near Giant Rock, in the High Desert of California, for two years of research and contact there, 1995-1997. This was where George van Tassel met the ETs with crowds of people cheering.
Diane now lives in North Iowa, where her childhood encounters took place, and maintains The Star Network Animal Sanctuary on ten acres for feral, abandoned or abused dogs and cats. Diane’s Star Network Sanctuary currently is home to over 70 cats who enjoy a safe, healthy, well fed life.
Diane believes that the primary purpose of our UFO visitors is to nudge humankind along so as to achieve a higher level of consciousness. Humans are about to take a step forward in evolution and become a new species which Tibus calls Homo cosmos. This email address is being protected from spambots. UFO AGENDA asks, *Who are they? *Where do they come from? *What do they want? UFO AGENDA asks, *Why are some people chosen for contact? * Are the visitors from far-flung otherworlds, or *quantum projections of our own mysterious consciousness? *Or are they somehow connected to ghosts and the paranormal?*

Brent Raynes: Diane, you've been in this field for a pretty good while now. How did you get drawn into this subject?

Diane Tessman: While I was teaching English as a Second Language in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 1977, I decided to become actively involved in UFO investigations because I had always been fascinated by the stars, space, and the UFO subject. I had virtually no spare time being a young mother and busy school teacher but I felt compelled to be involved. So I joined the Aerial Phenomenon Research Organization (APRO) headed up by Coral and Jim Lorenzen; I also became Florida State Section Director for MUFON. I wrote several articles for the MUFON Journal of which my friend Richard Hall was editor; Richard was editor of the excellent “UFO Evidence” which is still a landmark in Ufology. I was searching for personal answers which were hidden in my subconscious but I did not realize this at the time.

By 1981, I contacted Dr. R. Leo Sprinkle at the University of Wyoming. Dr. Sprinkle did hypnotic regressions for people who felt they had been abducted by a UFO and I had begun to realize that my motivations in searching for UFO answers were indeed personal and profound. I had been awakened to this truth through my curiosity about a scar between my upper lip and nose for which there was no earthly explanation. I had grilled my parents, asking if I had an accident very early in life. I looked into every mundane explanation I could.

In regression with Dr. Sprinkle, I remembered being abducted by a humanoid who was “human but enhanced somehow.” I remembered being taken aboard a large sky-ship by smaller human-like beings. Was the membrane in my mouth removed at that time? It seemed possible. This sounds like I had endured a horrific alien abduction at age four, but in fact I remembered the encounter (a word I prefer to “abduction”), as an amazingly positive experience. For many years, I could not reconcile my positive memories with what sounded like a frightening experience.

Many years later, and with scientific investigation, I believe that these strange visitors cured me of childhood leukemia with advanced medical methods which have just begun to be used by human doctors in the present.

My UFO quest is and has been extremely important in my life and happiness. I often feel like an ET myself who has lost her ship, but at the same time, many questions about unexplained events in my life nag at me. However, most of the answers have unfolded for me over time and are somehow amazingly logical as well as incredibly meaningful and inspiring.

I realize that having a UFO encounter is both a scientific education and a spiritual epiphany in an individual’s life. Back in the 1970s, I had begun with scientific investigation but I found myself looking into ancient texts, metaphysical concepts, and the phenomenon of consciousness itself. With the professional guidance of my friend Timothy Green Beckley, I began writing down the messages which landed in my mind from the human-like being I had encountered at age four. I call him “Tibus.” I was my own biggest skeptic but soon people related strongly to our messages; our messages helped them understand strange events in their own lives. With Tim’s encouragement, I started my own Star Network Heartline publication and wrote my first book, The Transformation in 1983.

In recent years, I have also written many well-received science speculation essays and The UFO Agenda (Amazon and Kindle book) because I have found that my shared consciousness with that UFO being also involved advanced science, not just spirituality. On up the road of human evolution, Science and Spirit become one perception offering humankind an advancement in our intelligence and enlightenment. We are on the threshold of becoming a galactic race and I realize my life is meant to help open these brave new vistas for humankind.

In answer to how did I get drawn into the subject? I can only say it was an integral part of my soul since the moment I was born. The meeting I had with this humanoid when I was four, was a small part of the spiritual and scientific evolution of my human species.

Brent Raynes: You've written numerous articles and several books on UFOs. You've also come to know many of the leading figures in ufology, including Tim Beckley and Brad and Sherry Steiger, who you even spent a Christmas Holiday with one year. You've also known for years and worked with Wyoming psychologist Dr. R. Leo Sprinkle, and in fact you recently did a radio show with him on one of Tim's interview programs. What has this all been like for you and what discoveries do you feel you've made about the field of ufology and the various personalities who make up this controversial movement?

Diane Tessman: My most cherished friends in life are all from UFO and related fields. Dr. Sprinkle is a dear friend, as is Tim Beckley. I have hundreds of friends who are not as well known in the field but who are fellow experiencers. These are wonderful, enlightened people! Of course I have loved Brad Steiger’s books since I was a teenager and have continued to admire his and Sherry’s intriguing work.

The other side of the coin is that the UFO field is often dominated by people who do not respect scientific research nor do they bother to grasp spiritual and moral truth. Often they present a science-fiction scenario as reality; they pretend to be the only conduit to a specific group of aliens. These charlatans manufacture the history and motivations of fictional aliens; sadly some people who are sincerely searching for answers buy into these fictional scenarios, and that is really too bad. These snake oil salesmen are the public “nut job” face of the UFO field. They do not know the meaning of the word “integrity.”

Of course misinformation, disinformation, outright lies, and mindless fear of the unknown, play into the hands of those who do not want Disclosure or Contact to ever happen; and so the entire UFO field suffers another setback and the truth remains hidden.

Brent Raynes: Ufological belief systems and theories run the full spectrum from the mainstream extraterrestrial visitation theories made ever so popular by early pioneers in the field like the late Major Donald Keyhoe, Jim and Coral Lorenzen, and many others, to John Keel's ultraterrestrials, Rosemary Ellen Guiley's focus on the Djinn, and the late great Dr. Carl Jung's ideas about archetypes of a collective unconscious. And, of course, a growing number are delving into quantum physics for their answers. What are your personal thoughts and feelings on all of these different directions that can be taken with this subject, and do you feel you might be able to offer some insight and suggestions on how to best discern and approach the proverbial truth of this certainly very complex, perplexing and challenging enigma?

Diane Tessman: I have researched every possible origin of UFO occupants and the theories you mention here are all familiar to me. I think it is “all of the above and then some!” After all, it is a huge universe out there! I try to explore the endless possibilities, all the while knowing it may be beyond my human ability to grasp. “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” - Hamlet (1.5.167-8), Hamlet to Horatio

Incidentally, the Lorenzens were big on using “UFO occupant” rather than “alien” or “extraterrestrial” and I prefer “UFO occupant.” “Extraterrestrial” refers to a being from another planet but our strange visitors probably originate from multiple sources. Some may be from “time” but not from “space” (not from a distant planet but rather from Earth of another timeline). And “ultraterrestrial” fits one type of bizarre visitor but that term does not cover a universe-full of diverse UFO occupants and their craft. My point is, we tend to pigeon-hole our perception of UFO occupants even by what term we use.

It is my nature to think outside the box and I love Arthur C. Clarke’s wise words: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

In my most recent book, “UFO Agenda” I offer ten possible origins of UFO occupants. I believe that experiencers, contactees, and abductees, have encountered a number of different advanced intelligences which have a variety of origins.

Three of my own favorite theories:

Those craft in the sky are piloted by evolved humans possibly augmented with artificial intelligence. We all exist in the Eternal Now and perhaps with the help of quantum computers, we find a way in the future to dig down through the layers of “time,” which (we are told), does not exist in a consecutive manner but is instead simultaneous.

Or, we may exist in an advanced computer simulation. “Simulation” is internet but “emulation” would mean we feel, we think, we are, from within ourselves.

I also am intrigued with the concept that gravity corridors exist between worlds, so that an alien space craft might guide itself into one of these corridors and zoom to Earth in a relatively brief amount of time.

I have written on these three possibilities as well as many more, often revolving around “consciousness.” I am happy to guide the reader to any of my specific essays which may interest the reader. I have also written 6 books, several of which tackle the concept that Earth’s conscious mind (an extension of the “Gaia” concept) is the source of UFOs and their occupants.

Brent Raynes: Mainstream science continues to ignore the UFO subject, treating the field itself as a reckless pseudoscience. Naturally, a few from the field of science have looked into the matter and made their voices heard, but unfortunately those voices are too often drowned out by the official proclamations and stated positions of the official mainstream sciences that dismisses it all as mistaken natural phenomena, misidentified aircraft, weather balloons, satellites, certainly a temperature inversion of Venus on the horizon, hoaxes, maybe even an occasional flare up of swamp gas, etc., etc. Good old Project Blue Book type explanations, for the most part. Plus dismissing the ufologists who make up the field as rank amatuers and lunatics.

So although some of those examples have made up part of the data that is ufology, I'm sure you'll agree it's inaccurate to sweep all of this data under the rug quite so easily. What are your thoughts on this and do you feel ufology is currently moving in the right direction, as best it can, and do you see any ways in which it could improve the perception science generally has of it?

Diane Tessman: One of my heroes, Rupert Sheldrake, was banned from the TED Talks because he said science has become too dogmatic and is unwilling to think outside the box. I agree. Ufology as well as science itself, should be based in honest curiosity. I am thrilled that the quantum world leads us into stranger and stranger territory! And what will quantum computers reveal? We have always been a race of explorers but we seem to be losing our courage. We are becoming stagnant and fearful. UFO exploration can help wake us up as we discard ye old “swamp gas” stuff. The universe awaits our species! One urgent note: In 2017, our planet is in real trouble environmentally, socially, and spiritually. Will our planet and her diverse life-forms survive? Will the human species survive? I believe this crisis is connected to why the UFO occupants are in our skies. In my own writing and in messages I receive from Tibus, we continue to work for an enlightened and peaceful Planet Earth. Brent Raynes: What would you tell someone new to this field who wants to become involved, perhaps join an organization and become a field investigator? What sort of books might you encourage them to read? Diane Tessman: I am not sure that being a field investigator is the way to go; it depends on the individual. My gut-level reaction: “Newcomers will follow whatever their individual perceptions of UFO phenomena may be.” One individual may be drawn to the ultraterrestrial idea of John Keel which, I have discovered, may lead into the theory that dark matter has life-forms too who appear to us. After all, dark matter is all around and through us but remains as unknown as the origin of UFOs. Another individual may consider space to be the final frontier and so is curious about NASA’s experiments with warp drive so as to reach far distant worlds in a reasonable time. This individual may begin with Dr. Stanton Friedman’s concept of “nuts and bolts” interstellar starships.

Yet another newcomer might be drawn to the concept that “all is consciousness.” I suggest he look into the work of Dr. Rupert Sheldrake who has done ground-breaking work in the field of morphic resonance. He states that consciousness flows in and out of our minds and is not confined to the perimeters of our brain. He feels that all life-forms receive resonance from the greater collective whole of their species and universe. Do ETs reach our minds only, making the contact seem 3 dimensional? It is true that our consciousness perceives (and filters) our reality and the events therein.

The only stipulation I would have, is that we employ our logic, integrity, and spiritual guidance as we explore our piece of the puzzle. The UFO field has suffered too long from a lack of these qualities. So, each individual will be inexorably drawn to his or her piece of the whole puzzle; it’s not what the specific subject is that is important, but rather that it be researched with reason, integrity, logic, intelligence and spirit. I have always preferred to think outside the box and have not followed another researcher specifically. This has allowed me to be open to really far-out ideas which none the less, do offer logic as to why they might be true. I also employ spiritual guidance to consider this universe of possibilities. I am the first to admit that I find Original Star Trek (the series) to be a real inspiration. I believe UFO research should be rewarding and fun in its own right. I have often said that the UFO phenomenon is more about us humans than it is about the aliens.

“We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them”. - Albert Einstein

Other people are just as “correct” as they follow a different approach which is perhaps more structured. The UFO field allows this diversity and is stronger for it. I firmly believe that finding the answers to this mind-boggling enigma and experiencing the ensuing Contact with advanced intelligences, represent the greatest steps ever in human history!
