Blue Light Rescuer

by:

We left our car in the village and began to climb [the mountain] at about 8 am in good clear weather. We have often climbed this mountain, and we both know it well.

As we were beginning our descent, at about 1:30 pm, the weather suddenly changed, and it began to snow hard. After half an hour, we had completely lost our way. The wind became stronger, the snow went on falling heavily, and we had no idea what to do. We were desperate.

Then, as we were walking along what we hoped to be the right direction back to the village, I suddenly felt a warm wind on the left side of my face. It was a strong wind, and it felt very pleasant. I turned my head to the left, and there, about five meters away, I saw a ball of light. It was a big blue ball about two meters in diameter, and it seemed that the warm wind was coming from it. I was very surprised, and frightened. I closed my eyes, but when I opened them again the ball was still here. I asked my husband if he could see it, but he said he could not. He plainly did not believe me and became very angry.

I took a few steps towards the ball of light, but it began to roll slowly away from me, just like a big snowball rolling on the ground. I felt attracted by it, as if hypnotized, and I thought that we had to follow it, although this meant that we had to make a right-angle turn away from our course. So, I told my husband that we should turn left, and although he still could not see the ball, he followed behind me.

We went on for about three hours, covering 15 kilometers, with the ball away in front of me, rolling along, and the same comforting warm wind blowing in my face. But then, very suddenly, both the wind and the light went away, and for a moment, I was absolutely terrified. But only for a moment, for I then looked around and saw the outline of a roof below us. I knew we were safe.

If we had gone on in our original direction, we would probably have had to go about 30 kilometers to the next village, and I think we would have collapsed from cold and exhaustion. Several people have been lost on that mountain.

I am quite convinced that the ball of light saved our lives.1
